Dear Colleagues

I’m extremely honoured and proud to invite you to the 12th ESHA Conference in beautiful Cyprus on 4-6th November.

The focus of the 2010 ESHA Conference is ‘The Human Approach to Leadership” because It’s the human factor that connects us all as school leaders across the many countries in Europe. To express and meet this vision, many of the workshops will be filled with your ideas, worries, challenges and expectations as European School Leaders. Keynote speakers such as Andy Hargreaves, Neil Hawkes and Petros Pashiardis will certainly fill you up with new ideas, possibilities and a range of alternative models to take back to your workplaces to enhance the well being of all in our schools. This conference will also mark a new era for ESHA where we shall commit our efforts to serve individual heads and school leaders across Europe.  The first steps have already been set through the development of our new ESHA e-magazine WWW.ESHAMAGAZINE.COM

The beautiful scenery of old Cyprus and the relaxing atmosphere will enhance your networking with colleagues during the extensive programme of events during the daytime and evening sessions.

This year our Conference is to be held in a very different context from previous years due to the widespread and severe economic climate and where we all know that there are many countries facing sharp cuts on their national budget for education. We are very grateful to the organizing committee who have recognized and realized that we’re all living in a financial crisis - therefore, the price of the conference has been kept extremely low and represents remarkably good value for money.

I do hope to meet many of you in Limassol.

Ton Duif

ESHA President
